RAM
i spent part of the afternoon today in the mac store at the mall. i need more RAM for my iBook, having just installed final cut pro. of course, the RAM at the mac store is double the price of RAM i found online. so i'll go that route and save some money, but it means i probably won't get it til later in the week.
i'm doing this so i can complete my first freelance producing project. a local artist i know has asked me to edit a 5 minute video of his art for him. he's gonna pay me $200, which will cover the cost of the RAM. barely, but it will. so it's all a wash. ideally, though, this won't be my last freelance gig, so it's a good investment.
biking around downtown today, i stumbled upon a girl i used to hang out with, a beautiful, free-spirit, hippie/yoga loving girl named amy. she moved to chicago a couple years ago, but before that, we hung out a bit. i actually think she liked me and wanted to mess around. but the first night she was over at my apartment, we smoked pot and i got kinda paranoid and was afriad of trying anything. looking back, i think i kinda blew that one. she would've been a lot of fun.
she's in town for the week. apparently, she's bored during the daytime, so she just goes for bike rides. which is what i do everyday, too. she doesn't own a cell (so annoying....how do people survive that way?). so, i HAD to give her my number. it would be fun to hang out with her again and i could take her to some cool spots i've found on my recent bike rides.
of course, i may never hear from her. but hey, no loss in trying...
